This collective work is part of the research conducted as part of the Abeona-ENS-OBVIA Chair in Social Justice and Artificial Intelligence. It offers a multidisciplinary reflection on the issues surrounding the uses of artificial intelligence, primarily from a social justice perspective.
Among the topics addressed are digital decolonization, social inclusion, participatory governance, legal regulation of AI, its application in humanitarian action, its impact on work, and its connection with issues of domestic violence.
The concept of social justice allows for the inclusion of dimensions, mainly grasped by social sciences and humanities, which are not traditionally associated with artificial intelligence technologies. This then makes it possible to comprehend dimensions such as justice and equity, but also solidarity and dignity; these dimensions constitute powerful tools for social change when mobilized by different actors.
The contributions in this work highlight reflections on the establishment of societal conditions and courses of action for the deployment of artificial intelligence technologies in respect of human societies.
