This project aims to analyze media representations of women in Quebec media during the COVID-19 pandemic, from a gender studies perspective including its intersectional dimensions. This research is rooted in a mixed-methods methodology, combining the technological contributions of artificial intelligence with the possibilities of understanding and interpretation offered by thematic content analysis. Our results will form a solid empirical basis from which we can engage in discussion with the various Quebec media companies, and work together to build a more inclusive media space that is self-critical of its own practices. In so doing, we hope to play an active role in addressing gender, inclusion and diversity issues in the production of information.
