Assessment and acquisition of digital literacy skills for business leaders in the manufacturing sector

Few studies have investigated how managers and leaders could evaluate their level of digital literacy and the ethical implications of technology implementation and digital transformation in a business context. The objectives of this research project are therefore to 1) establish a proof of concept for a self-assessment tool to allow managers and leaders to assess their competencies and to identify the digital literacy skills they need to acquire to lead their organization to respond to the needs of the future; 2) deploy this self-assessment tool to managers and leaders of the manufacturing sector across Canada and 3) notify business leaders and managers of the ethical implications of decisions relating to the implementation of emerging technologies within their organizations.
