AI and digital technologies can be both contributors to and drivers of environmental degradation. Digital sobriety invites us to engage in a critical and creative reflection on the eco-design of digital systems and on the prioritization of uses in light of planetary boundaries. The socio-ecological transition challenges us to rethink how these technologies are deployed: are they used to optimize the status quo, or to design new paradigms that are more sustainable, more equitable, and more inclusive?

Ce rapport constitue la première étape du projet Ville.Science dont les résultats serviront à développer des programmes d’accompagnement des municipalités dans leur transformation numérique.
