Obvia participated in the 3rd Global Forum on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence, organized by UNESCO in collaboration with the Kingdom of Thailand, held in Bangkok on June 25 and 26, 2025.
This edition marked a first, as it was held in a country of the Global South, in Southeast Asia. The third Global Forum reflects a strong commitment to a more inclusive international governance of AI—one that brings forward voices often underrepresented in global discussions.
Each year, the Forum brings together policymakers, researchers, civil society representatives, UN agencies, international organizations, and academic institutions to discuss and support the implementation of UNESCO’s Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence.
Recognition and Impact for Obvia
During its visit, Obvia took part in several workshops and discussion groups held alongside the main Forum, and its expertise was highlighted during the sessions on June 24. These exchanges provided an opportunity to build connections with partners from various countries and to strengthen the international visibility of our work.
Obvia also officially joined the international CSO for Ethics of AI and the Academic Network on AI Ethics and Policy as one of its first academic members. This affiliation reflects the recognition of our scientific expertise and our commitment to a responsible, ethical, and inclusive approach to artificial intelligence.
