As the ethical and societal implications of artificial intelligence systems draw increasing attention, Obvia has established a partnership with Z-Inspection®. Several researchers from Obvia’s Ethics, Governance, and Democracy division are actively involved in the initiative. Lyse Langlois, Executive Director of Obvia, also serves on the Z-Inspection® advisory board.
Z-Inspection® is a holistic evaluation process designed to assess the trustworthiness of AI-based technologies at different stages of their life cycle. It focuses in particular on identifying and analyzing ethical concerns and potential tensions through the development of sociotechnical scenarios. The process was featured in the journal IEEE Transactions on Technology and Society.
