Thematic groups

Vincent Couture is a bioethicist and associate professor in the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine at the Université de Montréal's School of Public Health. A significant part of his teaching and research activities is dedicated to the ethics of artificial intelligence (AI) in the health care sector. His interest in AI ethics stems from a desire to support technoscientific developments related to AI so that they remain in line with the values and needs of communities. This has led him to work at various levels of responsibility allocation within the AI ecosystem: citizen perspectives, guideline development, health technology assessment, health technology implementation, and understanding the effects of AI on health determinants and health policies. His latest work proposes extending these responsibilities to environmental health.
