Passionate about the intersection of teaching, research, clinical practice, innovation, and entrepreneurship, I am a professor in the Master’s program in Audiology at Université Laval, a clinical audiologist, and a researcher affiliated with the CHU de Québec – Université Laval and CIRRIS. My research focuses on auditory abilities, ear implants, speech perception and production, as well as the development of technologies for rehabilitation. I use artificial intelligence in the fields of health and education, particularly for the screening and rehabilitation of communication disorders.
I am co-founder of PhonIA, a start-up that develops automated speech analysis tools designed to support professionals working with individuals experiencing language, speech, and communication difficulties. Driven by the goal of making care more accessible, effective, and equitable, I am also involved in developing hearing health services both locally and internationally.
I believe that the mission of OBVIA—placing humans at the heart of technological development—aligns closely with the foundations of my research and social innovation work.
